Facebook Timeline and Privacy

Well, I've been living with Facebook timeline for a couple of days now and I think it's pretty cool. I'd prefer it to be an extension of the old profile and just an app, but hey! Since have Facebook been an advocate of choice!?

Having a fiddle around, I wanted to make sure my privacy settings had been maintained in the switch across. My standard settings are to display my websites and employment to the public, the rest is restricted to friends.

Facebook Timeline Before and After Privacy Settings

Now, with the advent of Timeline I was disappointed to see that two apps have also been exposed to the public, events and polls. As far as I can tell, event privacy settings are down the choice of the organiser of the event - RSVPs to a public event seem to be public. If I'm wrong on this, it's certainly too difficult to find any privacy options for RSVPs. Any votes in polls that I've clicked are also exposed to everyone. Not only is this different to the profile I wish to present to the public, it also looks pretty naff.

From initial scouting, the only way I can see to control these stories displaying are to head to the new "Activity Log" and filter by "events" (top right) and then remove each individual story from the Timeline - hiding them from your friends and the public. The same applies with the "questions app".

Is there something I'm missing in some deep hidden privacy settings or is this another one of those Facebook privacy setting flaws?
